Greenford Tennis Club is a small
friendly club where play continues throughout
the year. Tennis playing times on our three all weather floodlit courts are allocated
by membership category and are shown below. New tennis balls are provided by
the Club on Sundays, subject to weather and demand. However, used tennis
balls are always available for members to use at other times.
Junior section
members have organised coaching sessions, when a qualified Lawn Tennis
Association (LTA) coach will supervise on-court activities, usually hourly
sessions, determined by age and/or ability.
For
adults who have just started tennis, or who are a bit “rusty” we have a Novices section which meets on Friday
evenings. An LTA coach will give a one hour lesson for those who require it.
The session carries on with general play and social activities.
We
enter one Mens team and one Ladies team into
the Middlesex Leagues as well as teams in other tournaments.

MEMBERS
Dear GTC Club Member
Our Club’s future allocation of
Wimbledon tickets will be based on the number of club
members (adults and juniors aged 9 and over) who have signed up as a British
Tennis Member by the 30th November 2008.
From 2009, the LTA has
stipulated that our allocation of Wimbledon tickets distributed through the
Club ballot will only be available to
British Tennis members and all club members who have not signed up to
British Tennis Membership must be excluded from the ballot.
To maximise the number of
Wimbledon tickets available to our club and to make them available to as many
club members as possible, I urge you to sign up to British Tennis before the
deadline date.
Remember:
British Tennis Membership
is FREE for all
members of affiliated tennis clubs until
2012……… but the time to register is running out!!
To take advantage of FREE membership
to British Tennis you must sign up by the 30th
November 2008.
How can club members join?
Club members can join through two ways:
1)
Via the LTA website (www.lta.org.uk),
registration only takes two minutes and gets you signed up as a British
Tennis Member instantly.
2)
By filling in an application form and sending it off,
you will then receive your unique membership number and an information pack
through the post.
